SUNGAI PETANI: Effective Jan 1, Kedah civil servants can buy their first dream house at 20 per cent less than market price and enjoy full stamp duty exemption, which translate to RM8,000 in savings.
What is more, civil servants who are not entitled to 100 per cent financing are only required to pay 10 per cent of their property price upon signing the Sales-Purchase Agreement (S&P). And their 90 per cent loan repayment instalments begin only after completion of their properties.
These are the tremendous incentives for civil servants to purchase their first homes in strategic locations in southern Kedah beginning 2017.
Oriental Interest Bhd (OIB), a prominent property developer in Kedah, is offering 1,382 units of spacious, modern, yet affordable single-storey and double-storey houses at a cost of below RM300,000 under the 1Malaysia Housing Projects for Civil Servants (PPA1M) programme.
Its marketing division chief operating officer Beh Suan Sim said the not-to-be-missed offer is made possible through OIB’s cross-subsidy offering under the government’s PPA1M programme.
"The first two projects are Taman Sinar Intan 3 and Taman Permaipura in Sungai Petani, while the third project is Taman Serai Wangi in Padang Serai, with a total Gross Development Value of RM413 million," she said at the launch of the three projects here today.
Present was PPA1M chief assistant secretary Mursyidul Syafiq Marzuki.
Beh said PPA1M Taman Sinar Intan 3 offers 450 units of modern, contemporary-designed double storey terraces from only RM294,927, with Phase 1, 2 and 3 being gated and guarded, while Phase 4 is ordinary residential.
